Foundation

The foundation aims to provide responsible and holistic care for elderly and chronically-ill animals. At the same time, it aims to preserve Hungarian endangered animal breeds, rescue horses from poor housing conditions and provide them with a safe home for the rest of their lives, and in relation to this, promote a sustainable horse grassland ecosystem. All of this is set in the historic landscape of the Bakony, whose fairytale atmosphere makes Szépalma so special.

We believe it is important to actively pass on the spirit of the place and the knowledge we possess to all visitors and supporters, which would not be possible without a competent team, likewise national and international partnerships. Our offer is complemented by a variety of programmes and educational opportunities that ensure the newest knowledge and expertise is passed on.

The foundation is entirely Hungarian based, with a transparent vision and open to those who are interested in the activities of our team.
